Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Noorani Qaida.

All questions
Is Noorani Qaida only for children?

No. It was written for beginners of any age and is used every day for adults, reverts and anyone who missed learning the Arabic script as a child. Many adults finish it faster than children because they can practise more deliberately.

How is Noorani Qaida different from Tajweed?

The Qaida is the beginner bridge: letters, vowels, joining and the very first rules in practice. Tajweed is the full study of recitation rules applied to the Quran itself. The Qaida leads into Tajweed; it does not replace it.

Do we need a teacher for the Qaida, or can a parent teach it?

A patient parent can absolutely start a child on the early pages. But pronunciation mistakes made early become habits, and a live teacher hears them immediately — which is why most families move to an online Qaida teacher within the first weeks.

Can my child already read Arabic letters skip the Qaida?

Let the teacher decide with a short assessment. If letter pronunciation is already correct, the child can start from a later page or move to reading practice. The point of the Qaida is correct foundations, not finishing a book.

Which Qaida edition should we buy?

Any standard Noorani Qaida edition works for the lessons; your teacher will confirm the exact version they teach from so your child follows the same page order on screen.
